Handpicked Productions

Fundraising - Identified and researched priority funders and supported in the development of applications to them.

Business Consultancy - Supported with the development of a business in support of an application to Arts Council England for NPO and Elevate funding.

Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland

Fundraising - Prepared a robust case for support and used this as the basis for submitting 10 applications to Trusts & Foundations for core funding.

Digital Transformation Project - Led on a Digital Transformation Project to replace all business critical systems (including CRM, Finance, HR, EPOS, Volunteer Management, email and event management) with cloud based systems.

Building management - led on a project to refurbish two charity shops within a 6 week timeframe due to funder restrictions.

On the Wire Productions/ Edgeways Productions

PRODUCER - researched and provisionally booked a mix indoor/outdoor tour in Cumbria, developing strategic relationships with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Rosehill Theatre and Eskdale Mill.

FUNDRAISING - prepared and submitted applications to Arts Council England, Hadfield Trust and sourced in kind support for a £95k project.

Mortal Fools

BUILDING CONSULTANCY - advised on operational and delivery challenges with a tender to manage and operate a new arts centre. Provided rationale for operational budget to deliver tender.

Belgrade Theatre, Coventry

FUNDRAISING - completed fundraising for a £13m redevelopment, established an on-going revenue fundraising programme of £225k pa.

COMMERCIAL INCOME - developed events & conferencing, retail and catering functions, resulting in an annual income of £850k.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Manged complex events, with high security needs, including Coventry's Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations, the staging of Behud and ensuring the protection of free speech (see case study here by the Index on Censorship) and the confidential launch of Coca Cola's Share a Coke campaign.

ORGANISATIONAL LEADERSHIP - interim Executive Director cover. Led on staff restructuring and future strategic development during Covid, to secure a successful reopening.

Theatre by the Lake, Keswick

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Led the operations teams during the reopening of TBTL after Covid

BUILDING MANAGEMENT - Established all statutory compliance measures, building safety check regime and fire safety procedures.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY - Developed and implemented a 14-year plan to achieve net zero, in line with Cumbria's 2037 ambitions.

Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Reopened Rosehill after a 2 year closure for a redevelopment project.

BUILDING MANAGEMENT - Established all statutory compliance measures, building safety check regime and fire safety procedures. Oversaw the snagging process post completion of redevelopment.

BUSINESS PLANNING - Supported during Covid with regular review of business plan, securing Job Retention Scheme payments and Covid related grants.

Imagine If Theatre Company, Leeds

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Developed an operational plan to deliver a 6 year strategic vision. Implemented financial and operational controls and reporting.

BUSINESS PLANNING - Developed the Case for Support and wrote successful arts council and trusts & foundations applications.

Royal & Derngate, Northampton

FUNDRAISING - led the fundraising campaign in support of a £15m redevelopment.

Carlisle Youth Zone, Carlisle

FUNDRAISING - developed a fundraising and income generations strategy to secure in excess of £1m pa. Successfully secured funding from UK Shared Prosperity Fund and led a team of fundraising staff across disciplines.
